Stop the pogroms! Stop apartheid now!

Thu 13 July @ 7pm

In this special conversation we bring you Palestinian reports from the front line of the latest wave of pogroms against Palestinians.

Mahmoud Zhware is a farmer, environmentalist, academic and member of the Popular Struggle Coordination Committee (PSCC). The PSCC is a grass-roots organisation resisting settler colonial land grabs by working alongside those communities most threatened by the new generation of marauding settlers. Mahmoud partners with Stop the JNF in our Plant a Tree in Palestine campaign.

He is currently organising Palestinian and international support for the forthcoming olive harvest to deter settlers from yet more attacks on this vital harvest.

Manal Shqair also combines academia with activism. Manal is campaigns coordinator for Stop the Wall and international outreach coordinator of the Land Defences Coalition. Manal’s work reveals how environmental violence is a tool ethnic cleansing. She is currently working on her PhD in Edinburgh, researching popular Palestinian resistance to settler colonialism, with a special interest is women’s unique contributions to the movement.
